Our story started with our real estate team wanting to do a community project. We thought about ways to try to be on the front line of helping in hopes that we could share the experience with our friends and family. We wanted our kids and family to have an opportunity to share the experience of helping and giving time and resources. It is extremely important for us to raise the next generation in a way that is centered around helping and giving to others.
 
We realized that the holidays mean different things to different people. For many, it is a time that everyone can take off of work and enjoy the company of friends and family. We believe that this time is becoming more valuable as the use of social media, electronics etc. are reducing the amount of time that families spend together interacting. For many, major holidays are a time to get to spend valuable time together.
 
For others, the holidays perhaps aren’t as good as good BECAUSE it could represent time with those loved ones who have passed and are no longer with them. There also could be a situation (especially in a pandemic) where they aren’t able to provide the same type of holiday experience that they were before. With times becoming increasingly tougher, we would like to take the worry out of the process and share the blessings of bringing that meal and family together.
 
We have been blessed through our core real estate business to work with many business partners that have the same desires of giving back.  We frequently work with other agents, lenders, title companies, web companies, t-shirt companies etc who are willing to partner with us to make it happen. We will start this year with the goal of 100 meals for families, and look to grow that exponentially as well as turn this into a year round organization that will help in many other ways.
